View Council’s Corporate Plan

North Burnett Regional Council has finalised the 2017-2022 Corporate Plan and encourages all residents to view the document!

Council, at the General Meeting held in Gayndah on Wednesday, 14 June 2017, adopted the North Burnett Regional Council 2017-22 Corporate Plan.

The five year corporate plan is a legislative requirement under the Local Government Act 2009 and the Local Government Regulation 2012, and provides information on what Council will deliver over the next five years.  The plan        outlines the strategic direction of Council and provides performance indicators for measuring progress in achieving Council’s vision.

Mayor Chambers explained that it had been a busy six months, with the Corporate Plan being re-written, and as a result, changes to Council’s corporate structure were also being progressed.

“Five new themes for the region’s future have been identified which will clearly map out the work required for the next five years and will demonstrate to the community that Councillors are listening. The new corporate structure reflects the need to plan ahead and strengthens Council’s resolve to only be satisfied with great outcomes, not just great ideas,” Mayor Chambers said.

North Burnett Regional Council will achieve the plan’s vision by focusing on five priority themes:

  1. Our Productive Region
  2. Our Happy, Healthy and Safe Region
  3. Our United Region
  4. Our Vibrant and Naturally Beautiful Region
  5. Our Efficient and Effective Council

Council would like to thank the many residents and staff throughout the region who provided feedback on the plan.

All residents are encouraged to view the North Burnett Regional Council 2017-22 Corporate Plan. The plan can be found here or is on display at all of Council’s Customer Contact Centres/libraries.
