Mt Perry footpath upgrade concrete works to commence

Nov 8, 2017 | Front Page Feature, News

Following North Burnett Regional Council’s successful application for funding through the State Government’s ‘Works for Queensland’ (W4Q) program for regional councils to help stimulate growth and improve minor infrastructure across regional Queensland, Council received funding for the “Footpath main street Mt Perry” project to improve accessibility and safety.

Works are scheduled to commence on Thursday, 9th November on the section of footpath between the entrance to Memorial Park and the Mt Perry Hotel driveway and continue to the corner of Flora Street. It is anticipated that the proposed footpath works will be completed prior to the end of November 2017.

Council appreciates that these works may result in disruption to businesses and residents alike, however, where possible, the disruption will be minimised.  We trust that community members will find the completed project has improved safety and accessibility for pedestrians and be aesthetically pleasing.  If you have any significant factors which you believe Council should be aware of prior to the commencement of works, please contact Council’s Engineering Department immediately.  Council will continue to inform and consult with the Mt Perry community during the progress of this project.

For further information regarding this project please contact Council’s Engineering and Environmental Services staff on 1300 696 272 (1300 MY NBRC) or email Council.

The ‘Footpath main street Mt Perry’ project has been funded by the Queensland Government’s Works for Queensland project.
