Face lift for the Gayndah Community Hall

Mar 19, 2021 | Front Page Feature, News

As part of Council’s Capital Budget Maintenance Program, Possco Pty Ltd have been contracted to paint the exterior of the Gayndah Community Hall.

The painters will start Monday, 29 March 2021 on the sides of the building before finishing up on the front.  The works will take approximately four (4) weeks to complete, weather permitting.

Did you know? The Gayndah Community Hall was listed on the Queensland Heritage Register in September 2001. Designed by Brisbane architectural firm Hall & Phillips and built in 1935 it is an interesting example of the Art Deco style which was popular at the time. The combined Hall and Council Chambers has been known by several different names over the past 86 years – one proud moment in time she stood tall as the Gayndah Soldiers’ Memorial Hall.
