ABC Services Currently Offline

Council is aware that ABC services are currently reported to be offline within the coverage area of Council’s television retransmission sites.

This outage is as a result of the delivery services being changed by the ABC. Council has been informed by the ABC that it has recently changed its satellite distribution arrangements with out notice to retransmission sites. This distribution arrangement is specifically for the ABC to ensure that the network of television transmission towers that Broadcast Australia operates on its behalf have an appropriate content input for transmission at each site.

This change has negatively impacted the North Burnett Regional Council area and other self-help retransmission sites in Queensland. Council is working with the ABC to reinstate services as soon as possible.
