Works Commence on Mt Perry Entrance Signs

Oct 25, 2019 | Front Page Feature, News

Construction work will commenced yesterday, Thursday, 24 October 2019 on the exciting new entrance signs for Mt Perry, located on the Gin Gin – Mt Perry Road and Monto – Mt Perry Road (near the showgrounds).

Community consultation took place earlier in the year, with the Mt Perry community deciding on the design concept.  The sign will include the outline of Mt Perry range, the ‘Heart of Gold’ slogan and ‘Woodchopper Country’ all of which aptly pay tribute to Mt Perry and its history.

This design falls in line with similar welcome signs in Mundubbera.  As funds become available, Council will erect welcome signs for all six towns utilising the same design concept, providing continuity throughout the region.

Works will continue next week and Council would appreciate if residents could avoid the areas whilst construction takes place.
