Update on television re-transmission in Eidsvold and surrounds

Council continues to progress works to improve the television signal for residents of Eidsvold and surrounds.  Some of the retransmission services have stopped operating and upon investigation it appears that the technical issues we are experiencing may be as a result of loss of satellite signals after recent changes to the delivery services.  Council’s first contact with the both the ABC and the Federal Government regarding these issues was in October 2017.

The contractor engaged to investigate and rectify current issues with the retransmission has advised that replacement equipment for ABC and SBS has been ordered however a delay has occurred, with delivery anticipated in the next week.

Council will continue to lobby State and Federal government representatives regarding this issue.
