Ergon has advised that an interruption to the electricity supply to Council’s Cania View transmission tower and surrounding areas has been scheduled for Friday, 3rd March 2017 from 8:30am for approximately five (5) hours.
The interruption is necessary to upgrade equipment to meet customer demand for electricity and improve reliability of supply in the area. Ergon recommends disconnecting sensitive electrical appliances (like PCs and TVs) during an interruption.
During this time there will be no television transmission from the tower and residents may be required to reset their televisions once the transmission is functional again.
Residents are advised that should there be any issues with television reception from the Cania View transmission tower following the scheduled maintenance to please phone Council’s Customer Contact Centre on 1300 696 272 (1300 MY NBRC) to process a Customer Service Request.
