Saturday morning trading continues at Eidsvold

Feb 2, 2018 | Front Page Feature, News

To complement North Burnett Regional Council’s existing Saturday morning trading at Monto, Mundubbera (Library only) and Gayndah, Council will introduce the full time service for Eidsvold commencing this Saturday, 3 February 2018, with all four libraries open from 9am through to 12noon.

Following the Saturday morning trial at Council’s Customer Service Centres located at Biggenden, Eidsvold and Mount Perry from July through to December 2017, Council was able to ascertain the need to continue this service for the Eidsvold community.

North Burnett Regional Council Mayor Cr Rachel Chambers advised that the trial was a fantastic opportunity for community members who work or are otherwise occupied during Council’s normal business hours to avail themselves of Council’s services at a more convenient time.

“I am pleased to see our Saturday services are now available in Eidsvold, and that residents are able to take advantage of the extended operating hours,” Mayor Chambers said.

“Attendance at the Biggenden and Mt Perry libraries during the trial period confirmed that the service was not a priority for these areas.”

During Saturday trading, all customer service and library services will be available to the public, with the exception of QGAP and Centrelink services.  Libraries do not open on public holidays or long weekends.
