The RM Williams Australian Bush Learning Centre is pleased to announce the next gallery exhibition will feature works of former Eidsvold resident Margaret Cruickshank.  The exhibition will offer a memorable night for those looking for Valentine’s Day activities in the North Burnett, featuring a complimentary glass of wine or soft drink on arrival, and a great pairing of wine, cheese and art in the gallery.

Margy is excited to return to her roots to present her iconic Australian pastels to locals. Margaret finds inspiration by the man-made and natural Australian landscape.  She finds the contrasting colour and large skies of the Australian vista lends itself to interpretation with pastels to capture the lights, shades, colours, depths and vibrancy of our surroundings.  Although Margy has used many mediums throughout her artistic life, she loves pastels with a passion because the different strokes, pressures and textures create a music of expression that no other paint medium can capture.

Residents and visitors are invited to celebrate the official exhibition opening at the RM Williams Australian Bush Learning Centre on Valentine’s Day, Thursday, 14 February from 5pm to 7pm, where they can take the opportunity to meet the artist in person.  Entry is $5, please RSVP to Centre staff by Monday, 11 February.  For those that cannot make the opening, this unique display will be open to the public until Tuesday, 21 May, 2019.

For further information regarding the exhibition, tour group bookings, or to hold a display, please contact the RM Williams Australian Bush Learning Centre’s friendly staff on 07 4165 7272 or email the Centre.
