As part of North Burnett Regional Council’s NDRRA program, Flagstone Bridge, located on Hawkwood Road, Mundubbera, will be closed to traffic from Monday, 22 August 2016 for approximately two (2) weeks while betterment works are undertaken.

The project involves the reconstruction of the bridge approaches and replacement of the sealed pavement with concrete.

The bridge is expected to re-open Monday, 5 September 2016, weather permitting.  Road users are advised that a 40km/hr side track will be in operation during this time.

The road closure will facilitate a more cost effective, quicker and safer project, and when complete, the upgraded road will provide greater flood resilience.

Motorists are requested to travel with extreme care and responsibility, to drive to the prevailing road conditions and to adhere to signage.  Council apologises for any inconvenience caused and thanks you for your patience whilst this work is in progress.
