What:              Mt Perry and Biggenden launch new Heart Foundation Walking groups

When:             “Perry Pacers” – Commenced Tuesday 11 October 2016 @ 5:00pm

“Biggenden Wanderers” – Thursday 20 October 2016 @ 8:30am

Where:            Tuesday – 145 Heusman St, Mt Perry (Sport and Recreation Community Complex)

Thursday – Edward Street Biggenden (Beiers Park, Biggenden)

Details:           Walk Organisers Letitia (Biggenden) and Karen (Mt Perry) will lead you on a beginners walk around the township area. Have a chat to your walk organiser before the walk to discuss any concerns or issues you may have. The walking route can be modified to suit the group’s needs

The Heart Foundation and North Burnett Regional Council are launching new Heart Foundation Walking groups in Biggenden and Mt Perry to provide local residents with a fun, free way to become more physically active.

The new Heart Foundation Walking groups will meet each week at the times and places listed above.

Participants will receive free Heart Foundation Walking booklets, newsletters and recognition for their walking (including certificates and vouchers) after they have reached major walking milestones.

North Burnett Regional Council encourages everyone to take up walking, no matter what their age or fitness level.

Residents are asked to please call Letitia (Biggenden) on 4127 6400 or Karen (Mt Perry) on 4130 8951 to find out more about these new walking groups, alternatively you can simply attend the walk on the day to register yourself as a walker.
