Mingo Crossing Caravan and Recreation Park Managers say goodbye

May 11, 2018 | Front Page Feature, News

Mingo Crossing, one of the jewels of the North Burnett, is located half way between Gayndah and Mt Perry on the Gayndah – Mount Perry Road.  Current managers of the Mingo Crossing Caravan and Recreation Park, located at Mingo Crossing, have done an outstanding job of creating a welcoming and vibrant atmosphere for our locals and tourists alike.

North Burnett Regional Council Mayor Rachel Chambers has advised that an unpleasant incident over the Easter weekend at the facility has resulted in the resignation of the current managers.

“Council is bound by the law to give people certain rights which personally we may not agree with. Unfortunately in this case this has made an agreeable outcome impossible for us to achieve.”

“It was with great regret that council has accepted the recent resignation from Fran and Dave, current managers of the facility,” Mayor Chambers said.

The Mingo Crossing Caravan and Recreation Park will continue to operate under the current managers until 8 July 2018 whilst Council progresses the appointment of new caretakers for the facility.

“We wish Dave and Fran all the very best and sincerely thank them for their hard work, dedication and passion for the region.”
