Management of Council’s Caravan Parks at Mountain View and Mingo continues unchanged
North Burnett Regional Council is pleased to confirm that current managers of both Mountain View Caravan Park and Mingo Crossing Caravan Park will remain unchanged whilst the contract tendering process for both parks is progressed.
North Burnett Regional Council Mayor Cr Rachel Chambers has advised that Dave and Fran Saban have accepted the position of Interim Managers at Mingo Crossing Caravan Park and Recreational Area for a six month period from 8 July 2018 until 7 January 2019 to allow time for Council to go through the tendering process. In addition, with the Mountain View Caravan Park contract falling due on 9 July 2018, the current caretaker, Phill Russo, has accepted an offer of extension for five (5) months until 8 December 2018 whilst Council goes through the tendering process.
“Council is pleased to continue the partnership with the current managers at both of these outstanding Caravan Parks,” Mayor Chambers said.
In May this year, Mountain View Caravan Park was recognised as the Top Distribution Outlet for 2017 from Caravanning Queensland, with Mingo Crossing Caravan Park and Recreational Area receiving the 2018 Gold List of Australian Accommodation through Star Ratings Australia.
Mayor Chambers said, “The dedication and enthusiasm of our Caravan Park managers is highlighted by the quality management of both of our parks. Our managers help showcase our ‘naturally beautiful’ North Burnett and are a huge asset to our region’s tourism industry.”
Council anticipates tender documents for the management of both the Mountain View and Mingo Crossing Caravan Parks to be available towards the end of this year.
