Interested Stakeholders invited to attend NDIA meeting in Gayndah 02-03-18

The National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) will be visiting our region again next week to facilitating “Planning Conversation Workshops” in Biggenden, Mundubbera and Gayndah.

While they are in the North Burnett it is planned to hold a stakeholders meeting on Friday, 2 March from 9.30 -10.30 am at the Council Boardroom in Gayndah.

Interested stakeholders including community organisations, small businesses such as gardening/transport/assistive technology – aids and equipment providers, etc., Allied Health Services, sole traders, builders, individuals from the community who might like to work in the disability sector, are invited to attend this meeting to explore opportunities to work with the NDIS.

Suggested items for discussion include:

  • Thin market – Disability Sector, North Burnett
  • Business opportunities for the existing community organisations, private organisations and others (sole traders) during NDIS rollout and ongoing
  • New provider pathway
  • Collaborative work with relevant stakeholders with local market knowledge to develop and implement Disability Sector development strategies in North Burnett
