Culvert remediation works – Gayndah / Mt Perry Rd

Jul 11, 2019 | Front Page Feature, News

The Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) will undertake drainage works on Gayndah–Mt Perry Road commencing mid-July 2019. The works include extending and desilting 17 culverts from Byrnestown (north of Grevell Street) to Mingo (north of Kalliwa Connection Road).

This work will improve drainage and road safety and is expected to take approximately four weeks to complete, weather permitting.

For the duration of works the site will be reduced to a single lane, under traffic control.  Lane closures will be undertaken between 6.00am and 6.00pm, Monday to Friday.

To carry out these works safely and efficiently, traffic controllers, closures and speed restrictions will be in place as required, with every effort made to minimise disruptions during peak times. Motorists should factor in additional travel time for their journey. Works will be carried out by North Burnett Regional Council staff. TMR and Council thanks all motorists in advance for their patience and cooperation while these works are underway.
