Biggenden Customer Service Centre to participate in ATO Proof of Concept trial
North Burnett Regional Council’s Biggenden Customer Service Centre has been invited to participate in the Australian Taxation Office’s (ATO) ‘Proof of Concept’ (PoC) trial.
The trial, which commenced on the 1st of June and will run through to the 31st of December 2017, will not only provide the Biggenden community with access to a range of ATO services, it will inform decisions on whether ATO services could be provided in the future via the National Agent and Access Point Programme and also define the service model that would be most effective in providing those services.
Similar to existing Department of Human Services assistance offered by Council, the trial focus will be digital engagement, with myGov being the first option in most cases.
Some of the digital services offered include:
- Assistance with the application for Tax File Number process
- Referral to the Tax Help Program
- Accessing superannuation information
- Accessing rental properties information
- Accessing ATO publications and forms
