Asbestos disposal set to leave Monto Waste Facility

Monto Waste Management Facility is currently being transformed into a waste transfer station. As of Monday, 1 March 2021 you will no longer be able to dispose of asbestos at the Monto Facility.

Asbestos waste can still be disposed of at Council’s Mundubbera Waste Facility. You will need to contact Council a minimum of 24 hours prior to arrange an appointment for disposal. Check Council’s website at www.northburnett.qld.gov.au/public-health/ for further information.
