“The weather is warming up and North Burnett Regional Council is ensuring swimming pools are ready for the September school holidays,” Mayor Rachel Chambers has advised.

“Each year we upgrade one or more of our pools, with Biggenden receiving an upgrade to the children’s play area during the 2017-18 period.”

“The Gayndah pool upgrade, funded through Council’s 2018-19 capital budget, has seen upgrades timed to finish prior to the school holidays to ensure minimal disruption to our residents,” Mayor Chambers said.

“Come and check out the fresh new look at the Gayndah swimming pool which has seen the internal pool surface and surrounding concourse repainted and new temporary demountable amenities and kiosk installed.”

Eidsvold pool opened to the public on Saturday, 1 September, with Biggenden, Monto and Mundubbera pools opening on Thursday, 20 September 2018.  The Gayndah pool is scheduled to open on Saturday, 22 September following completion of works.
