Approved Inspection Program
In accordance with Section 134 of the Local Government Act 2009 and Section 113 of the Animal Management (Cats and Dogs) Act 2008, North Burnett Regional Councils authorised persons will be conducting an inspection program to ensure compliance with dog registrations and the number of dogs kept on residential properties in townships within the local government area.
This inspection program enables authorised persons to enter property between the nominated dates and times. Authorised persons can be identified by Council uniform and Authorisation Cards.
The systematic inspection program will commence on 4 May 2020 and finish on 26 June 2020 and will be conducted between the hours of 8:00am to 4:00pm. The applicable areas will be residential properties within the townships of Biggenden, Gayndah, Mount Perry, Mundubbera, Eidsvold and Monto.
The purpose of the program is to ensure compliance with the relevant Acts for responsible dog ownership including dog registration and the number of dogs kept.
A copy of the Council Resolution relating to this Approved Inspection Program is available upon request during the actual period of the program and copies will be available from Council’s Customer Service Centres.
