Administration Officer (North Burnett Transport Service)

North Burnett Regional Council is seeking an enthusiastic and passionate individual who can assist with the efficient day-to-day operation of the North Burnett Transport Service. North Burnett Regional Council, under contract with the Queensland Government (Translink), delivers an award winning service which provides comfortable, convenient and affordable transport options to assist residents and visitors wishing to travel to larger regions such as Bundaberg and Maryborough, with convenient stops encompassing Base Hospitals, train stations, transit station and local shopping centres. The return service also caters for tourists wishing to travel to our ‘Naturally Beautiful’ region. This position requires a highly motivated and organised person with a flair for customer service. As you will be working with external customers, being a team player with excellent communication skills is a must.
To be successful you must possess the following:
- Current manual C class driver’s licence (including the ability to travel between centres)
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in contemporary administrative practices in a professional environment
- Experience in providing effective and quality customer service
- Ability to work in an environment with standard work practices and procedures underpinned by statutory requirements relevant to the area
Experience within Local Government and/ or qualifications relevant to the horticultural industry are highly desirable. Training and development for technical knowledge and skills relevant to this position will be supported.
