Eidsvold, Queensland
Eidsvold residents, we need your help!

Flying foxes roosting in Harkness Boundary Creek have MOVED and are now in and around the Eidsvold School area.

It is councils responsibility to nudge flying foxes from school areas and as such we have made a decision to TRY to move these animals.

🦇When: 4am-7am Wednesday 24th April
🦇Where: Meet our staff at the school grounds
🦇What: Bring something loud (trumpets, bagpipes, saucepan lids) and bright lights (torches, flood lights)

This event will be under the direction of council staff, acting under strict legislative guidelines. Staff will have complete control of the event including suspension or abandonment of activities.

Please note: This may not work and we are in no way able to predict where these animals will go. Everyone in Eidsvold is strongly advised to monitor their own backyards and use noise and lights to deter the flying foxes from settling there.

We have a vet on standby for the care of the animals.

Please share and spread the word.
