At the Council meeting held in Mt Perry on 30 October 2019, Councillors adopted the 2018-19 Annual Report.  The Annual Report is created each year to celebrate the achievements of the previous year, as well as keeping Council accountable to the Corporate and Operational Plans, Local Government Act 2009 and the Local Government Regulation 2012.  This report contains department updates, details on staff numbers, Councillor remuneration costs, Council’s financial position and much more.

Some key figures for your interest – Council had $29.57 million in the bank at 30 June 2019, borrowings from Queensland Treasury Corporation of $2.9 million, we supported the community with $135,074 in grants and 49% of our income comes from rates.  There are lots of great things happening in the North Burnett and this report showcases what Council is doing for our region.

There is a lot information to share and Councillors encourage staff, residents and ratepayers of the North Burnett to have a read of our Annual Report.  Residents can download it from Council’s website www.northburnett.qld.gov.au/publications or grab a FREE copy from our Libraries/Customer Service Centres.
