Temporary Road Closure – Kariboe Road, Cania

Oct 12, 2016 | Front Page Feature, News

As part of North Burnett Regional Council’s NDRRA program, Kariboe Road, Cania, will be closed from approximately 19 October 2016 for approximately one (1) month while betterment works are undertaken.

The upgraded road is expected to re-open late November 2016, weather permitting, and is scheduled to be closed to through traffic, with access provided for local traffic only. Road users are advised that an alternate route will be available via Cania Road and the Burnett Highway during this time.

The works will include the realignment and elevation of road sections. The road closure will facilitate a more cost effective, quicker and safer project, and when complete, the upgraded road will provide greater flood resilience.

Motorists are requested to travel with extreme care and responsibility, to drive to the prevailing road conditions and to adhere to signage. Council apologises for any inconvenience caused and thanks you for your patience whilst this work is in progress.
