Welcome from the Mayor

On behalf of the people of the North Burnett, it is with great pride I welcome you to our naturally beautiful region. We hope you find this guide helpful and informative and that it provides some insight as to why we love living and working here.

Only a few hours drive from the coast, the North Burnett is renowned for its natural beauty, country hospitality, heritage and spirit.

Whether you’re visiting from interstate, overseas or just down the road, make sure you explore all the North Burnett has to offer from the spectacular Cania Gorge and Mount Walsh National Parks to the discoveries you’ll make on one of our leisurely scenic drives or at any one of the many festivals on offer throughout the year.

We’re justifiably proud of our picturesque townships and friendly locals. Volunteers at any one of our Visitor Information Centres can provide you with all the information you’ll need whether sightseeing, looking for great accommodation or even just the perfect souvenir to take home.

The North Burnett has so much to offer… nature at its best, clean fresh air and clear night skies for endless stargazing. We hope you feel at home while you visit our piece of paradise.
