Upcoming reseal works on state-controlled roads

Jan 30, 2018 | Front Page Feature, News

The Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) is scheduled to start bitumen reseal works on 30 January 2018 in the North Burnett Regional Council area.

These works form part of TMR’s programmed maintenance and involve placing a layer of bitumen to waterproof the road surface and preserve the underlying road structure and will progressively occur along sections of the following roads:

  • Isis Highway (Childers–Biggenden)
  • Isis Highway (Biggenden–Coalstoun Lakes)
  • Burnett Highway (Gayndah–Monto)
  • Mundubbera–Durong Road
  • Eidsvold–Theodore Road
  • Kalpowar Road
  • Gladstone–Monto Road
  • Gayndah–Mount Perry Road
  • Monto–Mount Perry Road

Works will be undertaken seven days a week between 6am and 6pm and are expected to be completed by the end of February 2018.

To carry out these works safely and efficiently, traffic controllers, closures and speed restrictions will be in place as required, with every effort made to minimise disruptions during peak times. Motorists should factor in additional travel time for their journey. TMR thanks all motorists in advance for their patience and cooperation while these works are underway.
