(12-04-17) Reclassification of water supply at Mingo Crossing Recreational Area

Apr 12, 2017 | Front Page Feature, News

North Burnett Regional Council is pleased to advise that the Mingo Crossing Recreational Area re-opened to the public on 4 April 2017, after a short closure following Ex Tropical Cyclone Debbie and its impact on the Burnett River.

North Burnett residents and visitors to the region are advised that following the recent rain event, the water supply located at the Mingo Crossing Recreational area is now classified as non-potable.

It is anticipated that this classification will continue until after the Easter break, with notification when water supplies have returned to normal.

Non-potable water can be safely used for ablutions, clothes washing and wash-down.

Visitors to the recreation area are encouraged to bring their own drinking water for the duration of their stay.

Council thanks you for your co-operation during this time and apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause. Should you have any enquiries please call Council’s Water and Waste Water staff on 1300 696 272 (1300 MY NBRC) or email Council.
